Join our friendly and forward-thinking Therapy Team at West Herts, where you’ll have the opportunity to grow and develop across a range of exciting clinical specialties.
About the Role
We’re offering a fantastic Band 5 rotational post designed to build your confidence, broaden your experience, and support your development as a physiotherapist.
Responsibilities
- Rotate every four months across a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings, including:
- Elderly Care
- Medicine
- Respiratory including ITU
- Surgical (including Amputees)
- MSK Outpatients
- Paediatrics
- Acute Stroke Unit
- Orthopaedics – trauma and elective
- Fully supported by a highly experienced and welcoming senior team, with regular supervision, preceptorship, appraisals, and access to In-Service training.
- Gain valuable experience in supporting therapy assistants and working within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Participation in the weekend rota (approximately 1 in 6 weekends) with corresponding rest days provided during the week.
- Participation in the evening respiratory on-call rota.

Working Hours
Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:15 – 16:30.
About Us
West Hertfordshire NHS Trust is a busy acute district general with most of the main caseload now centralised at the Watford General Hospital site, with the exception of the elective orthopaedic service which is at St Albans City Hospital and the Physiotherapy Outpatient service which is based at Jackets Field in Abbots Langley.
