Band 6 Acute Neurology Physiotherapist
Pulse is proud to be exclusively recruiting for a Band 6 Acute Neurology Physiotherapist to join a leading NHS hospital in London. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physiotherapist to work within a specialist neuro service, supporting patients with complex neurological conditions in an acute inpatient setting.

The Role
As a Band 6 Acute Neurology Physiotherapist, you will assess and treat patients presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions, including:
- Stroke
- Traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Multiple sclerosis (MS)
- Parkinson's disease
- Guillain-Barré syndrome
- Spinal cord injuries
- Other complex neurological presentations
You will work closely with occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, consultants, nursing staff, and discharge teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment for acute neurological patients.
- Develop and implement evidence-based rehabilitation programmes.
- Assess mobility, balance, transfers, gait, and functional independence.
- Support early rehabilitation and safe discharge planning.
- Participate in MDT meetings and contribute to goal setting.
- Educate patients, carers, and ward staff on rehabilitation strategies.
- Supervise junior staff, assistants, and physiotherapy students.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures.
Essential Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy.
- HCPC Registration.
- Previous NHS experience at Band 6 level or equivalent.
- Proven experience within acute neurology, stroke, or neurorehabilitation settings.
- Excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
