Blickling Ward Charge Nurse - Band 6
Blickling Ward is looking for a Charge Nurse - Band 6 to work as part of an exciting, service provision focused and dynamic team that delivers high quality care for our Older Patients across NSFT.
Blickling Ward is located at Becky Wilson House, Julian Hospital and is an Female Older Persons, functional inpatient service, focusing on specialist care for our service users. We work closely with family, carers, service users and external agencies to provide high quality integrated models of care. We have 18 beds for individuals with a variety of mental health related complexities.
Role Responsibilities
You will work supportively and collaboratively with the Clinical Team Leader and MDT ensuring the effective management of the ward in all respects, environmental, financial and clinical in so far as this relates to nursing practice.
- Duties:
- Planning and delivery of direct patient care with appropriate supervision, ensuring continuity of practice and working within a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency environment.
- Monitoring nursing practice on a day to day basis and ensure that nursing compliments the practice of other professionals.
- Providing a clinical lead to staff in various areas of practice, adhering to the philosophy and clinical skills base of the unit.
- Being a crucial part of working collaboratively within our MDT, providing holistic care packages for individuals and families on the ward.
- Working towards implementing reviews and changes in practice at the discretion of the Clinical Team Leader.
- Working shifts across a 24-hour period in order to meet the needs of the service and actively participate in a 24 hour site management rota for Julian Site through our daily Operational Huddle.
