We are delighted to be able to offer a committed and experienced Nurse, who will provide clear leadership within the multi-disciplinary team and provide line management support to identified staff. The opportunity to join our team of Clinical Services Coordinators and Clinical Services Nurses, within our friendly and forward-thinking children’s community Neurodevelopmental Team.

You will work closely with our AHP and Nursing service leads to ensure our teams are able to provide a safe and effective Autism Assessment Service for our Children, Young People and their families.

You will also work closely with the Operational Manager, ensuring efficient delivery of assessments for children and young people.

You will be expected to liaise with the wider system across health, education and social care to offer the best possible support to families of children with suspected ASD/ADHD/neurodevelopmental needs.

To make effective use of our virtual and mobile working technology and IT systems, you will also have good IT skills.

Responsibilities

  • To provide clear clinical leadership within the NDP autism service for junior nurses and identified clinical and support staff
  • To be responsible for supporting the coordination of clinical activities within the service, participating in clinical activity in the service including undertaking assessments as part of the autism assessment pathway
  • To ensure that safe high-quality care is maintained by providing clinical judgement to undertake clinical harms reviews, safe care reviews and safe discharges, ensuring these processes are implemented and maintained as per the service guidance
  • Management – Day to day management responsibility for Autism pathway team members, including, but not limited to; junior nurses, clinical assistants, and healthcare workers
