We are now looking to appoint a dynamic and talented Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse within our South West Home Treatment Team for a 12 month secondment.
About the Role
South West HTT provides an intensive service to individuals aged 25 and above who are experiencing a crisis with their mental health. We work within an MDT and are a fast paced and busy team.
Key Responsibilities
- You can expect to achieve / build upon skills of working in a pressured environment, responding and managing to crises and delivering short term interventions to an interesting and varied client group.
- To be responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of the evidence based care required, including health promotion for a named service user/group.
- Responsible for participating in the setting of quality standards, including the monitoring and reviewing in line with current clinical guidance practice and policy.
- Responsible for ensuring the post holder understands and meets their professional role and responsibilities under the Care Programme Approach and current adult and child safeguarding legislation.
- Responsible for ensuring that the requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Code of practice are observed, adhered to and implemented.
- Responsible for establishing therapeutic relationships with service users, and the implementation of evidence based therapeutic interventions with appropriate boundaries in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Councils professional code of conduct.
