Role Overview
The post holder will be a nurse with diabetes experience who holds or is working towards clinical assessment skills and non-medical prescribing qualifications or a willingness to. They will work within a nurse-led team, contributing towards the provision of high-quality care to patients with Type 1, Type 2 and gestational diabetes.
Main Responsibilities
- Clinical expertise with an emphasis on initiating, performing, and maintaining standards of clinical excellence in diabetes care.
- Work within the multidisciplinary team.
- Assessment, diagnosis, interpretation of results, management, and review of diabetes patients, under the supervision of a Diabetologist and lead/senior Diabetes specialist nurse.
