Band 6 Radiographer X-ray (Bolsover Street)
Part time position

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust is the largest specialist orthopaedic Trust in the UK with a world-renowned reputation.
We are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic HCPC registered radiographer with good general X-ray experience to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will rotate between the two sites (Bolsover Street and Stanmore) with the main site being Bolsover Street.
Facilities
The Bolsover Street X-ray department has 2 general X-ray rooms. The Stanmore site has 3 general X-ray rooms, 1 fluoroscopy unit, 5 portable ward machines, and a DXA scanner. There are 15 theatres along with image intensifiers, O-Arm and Cios Spin machines. We have also acquired EOS and HiRise Ped CT scanners.
Working Hours
The Bolsover Street X-ray department opens Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm. This post includes lone working once the probation period has been completed.
About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious general radiographer to gain experience in specialised orthopaedic imaging.
The post holder will work across all areas of the X-ray department, the main site will be Bolsover Street with occasional working on the Stanmore site. Bolsover Street has Outpatient X-ray only and Stanmore includes theatres, fluoroscopy, out-patients/in-patients main X-ray, and the DXA unit. You will be expected to provide high-quality diagnostic images whilst ensuring patient care and safety is paramount.

You will work closely with other members of the team including radiologists, radiographers, and clinical support workers and will be expected to be a senior presence within the department and involved in the teaching of students and more junior members of staff.
You will be an integral part of the smooth running of the imaging service and communicate effectively with a wide range of staff and patient groups.
You will be expected to manage your workload effectively, applying knowledge and skill to produce high-quality images and adapt techniques to meet complex patient requirements.
The Trust has recently required the patient information system Epic, all radiographers are required to have good knowledge of the system after training.
