Band 6 Occupational Therapist
We are looking for a Band 6 occupational therapist to work within the inpatient eating disorder inpatient service at the Barberry National Centre for Mental Health. The post is full time, for 37.5 hours per week.
This will be an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for specialising in the area of inpatient eating disorders to gain new knowledge, skills and broaden their experience in this specialist service.
Responsibilities
- Work on the inpatient ward developing clinical OT assessment and intervention skills and input into a multi disciplinary team group programme.
- Supervise an OT assistant.
- Regularly facilitate student placements.
- Manage a defined caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence based/client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in a range of settings.
- Maintain multidisciplinary clinical records.
- Participate in the planning, development and evaluation of occupational therapy services within a designated service, holding responsibility for defined projects.
- Supervise occupational therapy students on placement.
- Provide leadership for junior staff through supervision and appraisal.
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of the trust occupational therapy service.
