Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Inpatient Physiotherapist within the Hinckley and Bosworth Community Hospital. You will work in a friendly MDT as part of the therapy team to deliver high quality rehabilitation to patients within Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland following an acute admission.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team to assist in the delivery of safe, effective, quality treatments, carry out assessments and rehabilitation of patients within the setting.
This post requires a good level of personal responsibility; highly motivated and proactive with the ability to prioritise their own workload, use their initiative and the ability to work on their own and as part of a team. You will demonstrate excellent communication, prioritisation and organisational skills and be able to adapt to a changing and pressurised environment.
As well as providing Occupational Therapy you will have the opportunity to provide clinical supervision to members of the therapy team to support their development, maintain high standards and to ensure all treatment plans are supported by evidence-based practice.
We are looking for highly motivated, committed and caring physiotherapist who must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a full BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy
- Hold a HCPC registration PIN
- Have relevant experience working in healthcare as a qualified Occupational Therapist
- Have fantastic leadership skills
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to provide flexibility to meet the needs of the service

The Trust is progressing towards a seven-day week working pattern; consequently, the post holder must be prepared to work the weekly contracted hours over a 7-day rotation in accordance with the needs of the service.
Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)
- To be able to build a strong rapport with patients and work effectively to deliver high quality occupational therapy based around individualised goals
- To be able to work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team as well as independently where appropriate
- To be able to communicate clearly and sensitively to patients, relatives and carers
- To be a supportive member of the team and provide supervision and training to staff members as required
- To remain up to date with current evidence and implement service wide.
- Be able to carry out moderate to intense physical effort throughout the working day.
