Occupational Therapist Opportunity
The Wiltshire area of Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust (AWP) is seeking an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to work within a mental health inpatient ward setting, predominantly on rehab ward with opportunities to support acute and community services.
To follow OT process of assessment, intervention and evaluation to effectively identify and address occupational performance needs affected experienced by our client group.
About the Role
This opportunity will allow you to utilise your skills as a holistic, autonomous practitioner while also having the support from the multi-professional team and wider Occupational Therapy team. Within this post you will have opportunities to work with other qualified Occupational Therapists. Your Occupational Therapy input will involve a combination of individual specialist assessments and group work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions alongside the wider MDT to provide patient centred care.
- Manage a complex caseload and prioritise effectively to meet the demands of the service.
- Provide regular supervision and training to rotational Band 5 OTs and support staff.
- Utilize excellent and adaptable communication skills with sensitivity and flexibility.

Training and Development
Within the trust there are excellent training opportunities and CPD development and you will be provided with regular supervision within Trust guidance.
