Job Opportunity: Experienced Nurse in Pre-Assessment Unit
Our Pre-Assessment team is committed to delivering safe, high-quality and patient-centred care, ensuring patients are optimally prepared for their surgical journey.
About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to further develop their expertise. You must have previous experience working within a Pre-Assessment Unit or a similar pre-operative assessment service.
We are looking for nurses who can bring confidence, clinical expertise and experience to our demanding service environment and who are ready to take the next step in their professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently lead Nurse-led Pre-Assessment Clinics
- Assess and prepare patients for elective procedures
- Ensure every patient receives safe, individualised and high-quality care
- Provide and maintain a high standard of nursing practice
- Coordinate and liaise with other staff in line with Trust and CQC standards
- Assist with support and supervision of students and junior members of the team
- Supervise and coordinate other staff as appropriate and take charge of own pre-assessment clinic
- Demonstrate leadership and deputise in the absence of the Senior Sister/Charge
