Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist – South East London

Salary: From £40,000 (higher for the right candidate)

Full-time | Permanent | September Start

Location – Eltham

Responsibilities – Band 6 Speech And Language Therapist

  • Manage a caseload of verbal autistic secondary-aged students.
  • Deliver assessment and intervention with a focus on social communication, emotional regulation and functional communication.
  • Act as the lead Speech & Language Therapist within the school while working alongside two experienced part-time Speech & Language Therapists who share the caseload.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, Drama Therapists and Dyslexia Support specialists.
  • Build positive therapeutic relationships with students and contribute to their communication and educational outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and effectively manage your caseload

Requirements

  • Qualified Experienced Band 5 or Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration (or eligible to register).
  • Experience working with autistic young people, or a strong interest in this area.
  • Committed to delivering neurodiversity-affirming practice.
  • Confident managing and organising an independent caseload.
  • A proactive, engaging and personable approach to working with students.
