Job Description

The post holder will be embedded within a new Initial Response Service (incorporating Mental Health NHS 111 services) and will support and supervise staff as call handlers and assessors. You will also be spending one day a week doing direct clinical work with service users within the Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment (CRHT) Team in Central Norfolk. This post represents an exciting opportunity to shape a new clinical service and create a psychological and trauma-informed culture alongside continuing development in therapy and intervention skills.

This post would suit a qualified or newly qualified clinical psychologist seeking to develop some specialist skills and experience in staff support, consultation and supervision. We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing services and pathways and confident in using research evidence and national guidance to do this. This post also represents an opportunity to get involved in Trust-wide initiatives around patient safety.

If newly qualified, we would be keen to offer a package of training around supervision, post-event reflection and reflective practice to support you in your role. We would expect that within a year of being in role, we would want you to develop some specialist therapy skills in a relevant therapy modality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
