Job Opportunity: Clinical Psychologist in Community Mental Health Team (CMHT)

About the Role

This post represents an exciting opportunity to join a Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) serving adults across West Norfolk based at Chatterton House in Kings Lynn. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide psychological assessment, formulation, consultation, and intervention for adults presenting with a wide range of mental health difficulties. The team has expertise in a wide range of therapeutic approaches including CBT, CAT, EMDR, DBT, Art Therapy, and Lifespan Integration. The role offers opportunities to work closely with colleagues across the wider pathway, supporting the delivery of high-quality, psychologically informed care and contributing to the continued development of services for adults with complex and enduring mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist psychological leadership within the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT), promoting psychologically informed and trauma-informed approaches to care across the service.
• Offer consultation, supervision, reflective practice, and psychological advice to multidisciplinary colleagues to support effective assessment, formulation, and intervention for adults with complex mental health needs.
• Deliver specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and evidence-based interventions for adults presenting with a wide range of mental health difficulties, including those with complex and enduring mental health problems.
• Lead and support psychologically informed approaches to formulation, risk assessment, and risk management, working collaboratively with service users, carers, and professional networks.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of training that supports best practice, promotes trauma-informed and neurodiversity-informed care, and enhances the psychological skills of the wider workforce.
• Work closely with colleagues across secondary care, primary care, and voluntary sector partners to ensure joined-up care and improved outcomes for service users.
• Support the collection, evaluation, and use of outcome measures, audit findings, and service data to improve the quality and effectiveness of psychological services.
• Provide clinical placements, mentorship, and supervision for trainee psychologists and other colleagues as appropriate, supporting workforce development.
