Band 7 Speech & Language Therapist – AAC & Complex Needs Lead
£46,292–£52,250 per annum - 11-month working year (August not worked)
Permanent | Full-time (37.5 hours)
We're looking for an experienced Band 7 SLT with a minimum of 6 years' post-qualification experience and extensive knowledge and experience of AAC and complex communication needs.
The postholder will support children and young people across our clinic and school services, alongside dedicated time to lead and develop our practice in AAC and complex needs across WLSLT.
The postholder will:
- Provide specialist assessment and intervention for children and young people with AAC and complex communication needs across our clinic and school services.
- Develop and deliver high-quality, individualized AAC provision, working closely with children, families, school staff and other professionals.
- Act as a clinical lead and source of expertise for AAC and complex needs across WLSLT.
- Support, mentor and develop the clinical skills of other therapists through supervision, joint working, case discussion and informal support.
- Develop and deliver training for therapists, school staff and families.
- Work collaboratively with OTs and other professionals.
- Develop our services and clinical practice for children with complex needs.
- Take on increasing responsibility for clinical leadership and wider service development within our schools and clinic services.
