The Surgical Care Group Job Opportunity
The Surgical Care group is looking to recruit a dedicated and highly skilled Band 7 Breast Nurse Specialist to support the Breast pathway, in main supporting the Breast Mastalgia pathway.
About the Role
You would need to be an experienced Breast nurse acting within your professional boundaries and willing to develop your skills. As a Breast CNS you will play a vital role in delivering specialised nursing care to the patients with Breast conditions. Your expertise will contribute to a high quality care and positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Expertise: Provide specialised nursing care to patients with Breast conditions, focusing on the Breast Mastalgia pathway.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written.
- Proactivity: Be proactive in ensuring that your clinical expertise is up to date to contribute as a role model to the service.
- Teamwork: Work as a member of the Trust's Breast team and undertake the role of the CNS supporting and facilitating the patients journey.
- Collaboration: Work in a collaborative manner, providing clear decision making skills in consultation with medical and nursing staff.
- Patient Safety: Ensure that you protect and promote patient safety at all times.

Contract Details
Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months.
