Job Title

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a confident and compassionate midwife who thrives in an acute setting and is passionate about delivering safe, personalised and high-quality intrapartum care.

Role Overview

As Delivery Suite Coordinator, you will provide visible, clinical leadership across the labour ward, ensuring:

  • Safe and effective operational management of the delivery suite
  • Real-time workforce coordination and escalation management
  • Maintenance of safe staffing levels and skill mix
  • Oversight of clinical acuity and risk
  • Escalation of concerns in line with maternity safety frameworks

The post holder will be required to work shifts 07:45 – 20:15 or 19:45 – 08:15 including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activity across delivery suite and triage.
  • Lead emergency responses and clinical escalation.
  • Support staff wellbeing and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and incident reporting.
  • Contribute to audits, guideline implementation and service development.
  • Support compliance with national maternity safety initiatives
