The Preceptorship and Clinical Supervision Manager
will ensure that the clinical workforce have access to the appropriate development and supervision support in line with regulatory requirements.
About the Role
The post holder will ensure that all clinical staff have access to a clinical induction, preceptorship programme and clinical supervision.
- Work in partnership with the clinical divisions to develop clinical staff that require additional support to improve and develop their clinical practice.
- Support with preparation to role work across the service, providing support with career events, interview preparation and application support where appropriate.
Responsibilities
- Manage the clinical induction process ensuring that all divisions have the appropriate support required to develop and maintain a local clinical induction.
- Develop, manage and evaluate the Trust Preceptorship programme, ensuring an evidence-based preceptorship document is in place. Ensure a robust database is developed and maintained that identifies all preceptees progress and completion information as appropriate.

- Develop and maintain the Preceptorship policy, ensuring that all newly registered clinicians have access to and complete the programme and are supported in line with the policy.
- Develop, implement and evaluate evidence-based Preceptorship training ensuring that all preceptees and preceptors receive the appropriate training as required.
- Manage the Clinical Supervision process ensuring that all divisions have the appropriate support required to develop and maintain Clinical Supervision.
