Experienced Band 7 Speech & Language Therapist

We’re recruiting for an experienced Band 7 Speech & Language Therapist to join a highly regarded specialist therapeutic education provider at one of their schools in Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SLT who wants to move beyond a purely clinic-based role and become a key part of a school’s wider therapeutic team.

You’ll be working with children and young people with SEMH needs, SEND and complex presentations, helping them develop their communication skills while supporting their wider emotional, social and educational development.

The organisation has a genuinely relationships-first approach, with therapists working closely alongside teachers, families and other professionals rather than operating as a separate service.

The role will involve:

• Delivering individual and group Speech & Language Therapy
• Assessing pupils and developing tailored therapy programmes
• Supporting pupils against their individual needs and EHCP targets
• Working closely with teaching staff and the wider therapy team
• Producing high-quality assessments, progress reports and therapy plans
• Supporting families and acting as a key therapeutic point of contact
• Liaising with external professionals including CAMHS, social care and other specialists
• Contributing to therapeutic training and development across the school
