Are you an experienced Physiotherapist looking to develop clinical and leadership skills within Respiratory?
An exciting opportunity has become available in the Respiratory Team. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual to fulfil this role.
You will work alongside the existing Band 7 within the team and others across the department to facilitate best practice and share learning opportunities. Collaborative working across QHB and RDH is also required.
You will both be working in the lead clinical role across the Respiratory wards and Critical Care areas at Queens Hospital, Burton, coordinating, supervising and developing the team.
You will have the opportunity to make a difference to a varied caseload of patients and you will be instrumental in influencing length of stay, and flow through the hospital.
It is vital you are able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and experience in the management of these patients throughout the inpatient pathway.
You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills and be willing to work flexibly.
This post will include weekend working, late shift and completing on-call shifts
Key Responsibilities
- To demonstrate expert knowledge, advanced clinical reasoning, critical thinking and analysis skills in the treatment of Respiratory patients and those on Critical Care.
- Manage a clinical caseload across the Respiratory wards and critical care areas.
- Take a lead on and have an overview of complex, Respiratory patients and have an excellent relationship with the MDT.
- To take a lead role in the development of the therapy service, supporting research, audits and up to date evidenced based practice across all specialities.
- Lead on projects across Respiratory ensuring the delivery and ongoing development of a high quality patient-focused service.
- Demonstrate clinical and professional leadership experience, a passion for the service and the ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure.
