Exciting 6-Month Secondment Opportunity Team Lead, Melton CMHT

We are delighted to offer an exciting 6-month secondment opportunity for a Team Lead within Melton Community Mental Health Team (CMHT).
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop their leadership and management skills, broaden their experience within community mental health services, and gain valuable insight into both the clinical and operational leadership of a multidisciplinary team.
The post is full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, based at Melton Hospital. We recognise the importance of work-life balance and flexible working arrangements will be considered where service needs allow.
As Team Lead, you will have a unique opportunity to balance a small clinical caseload alongside the day-to-day operational running of the team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Community Manager, and alongside the MHSOP Team Lead as we continue to develop our Neighbourhood Mental Health model as part of the ongoing transformation programme. This provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience of collaborative leadership across services and contribute to shaping the future direction of community mental health care.

Job Description Summary (Main Duties And Responsibilities)
- Provide clinical and operational leadership to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care.
- Hold and manage a small clinical caseload, undertaking assessments, care planning, risk assessment and clinical reviews as required.
- Lead the day-to-day coordination and management of the team, ensuring effective workload allocation and caseload management.
- Act as a visible and supportive clinical leader, providing guidance, advice and professional support to staff across the service.
- Support staff through supervision, appraisal, mentorship and professional development activities, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and the implementation of new ways of working in line with neighbourhood mental health transformation.
- Monitor and support performance, clinical governance, risk management, incident management and compliance with Trust policies and professional standards.
- Support the management of staffing resources, including recruitment, roster management, annual leave, sickness absence and workforce planning.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to ensure effective communication, integrated working and positive outcomes for service users and carers.
- Work closely with the Community Manager and MHSOP Team Lead to support neighbourhood working and the ongoing development of community mental health services.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, reflective practice and high standards of patient-centred, recovery-focused care.
