Specialist Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (1.0 WTE)

West London CAMHS is looking for a Specialist Clinical or Counselling Psychologist (1.0 WTE) to join our innovative Crisis Outreach Resource for Autism Team (CORA) on a Band 7 to 8a Preceptorship.

CORA works closely with other services to improve the experience of Autistic young people in crisis. The work is varied and includes direct work with young people, family and carers, liaison with Tier 4 and specialist services, consultation and training with community services, and service innovation / design.

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled and innovative clinician who can help taking a leading role using a creative and dynamic approach, including maintaining clinical curiosity and engaging in reflective practice as well as advocating for children, young people and families’ needs. We hope the successful candidate would support and implement our commitments to staff wellbeing, manageable job plans and giving staff the opportunity to further develop their skills and knowledge.

This role combines clinical work, consultation and training, alongside opportunities for QI / service development. At this time, we are particularly looking for a candidate to lead on the community based offer in the CORA team. The postholder will also have opportunities to provide supervision and support to trainees and junior staff.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
