Are you an experienced Systemic Family Therapist looking for an opportunity to lead, influence and develop systemic practice within a supportive and forward-thinking CAMHS service?

Bristol South CAMHS is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Lead Systemic Family Therapist to play a key role in strengthening systemic practice across our service. This is an exciting senior clinical leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about relational approaches, committed to delivering high-quality care and motivated to support service development and innovation.

Role Responsibilities

The successful applicant will take a lead role within the Bristol South CAMHS Eating Disorders pathway, providing specialist systemic assessment and intervention for young people and their families. You will coordinate clinics, support complex case discussions, and provide consultation, supervision and leadership to colleagues, ensuring families have access to high-quality, evidence-informed systemic interventions.

We are proud of our longstanding commitment to systemic practice and the development of systemic professionals. AWP CAMHS has established links with the University of Exeter and actively supports systemic family practitioner training, including MSc students on placement.

For applicants who may be earlier in their post-qualification journey, we are happy to consider appointment into a 12-month developmental pathway, supported by both in-house and external training opportunities as appropriate.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
