Ready to inspire adult learners through language and culture?

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Oaklands College for a passionate and engaging ACL Lecturer in Spanish to deliver high-quality Spanish language courses to adult learners. This role offers the opportunity to help learners develop practical language skills, cultural awareness, confidence, and communication abilities within a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Whether working with complete beginners or more advanced learners, you will play a key role in making language learning accessible, enjoyable, and rewarding. As these are non-accredited leisure learning courses, the emphasis is on personal development, learner enjoyment, practical language acquisition, and achieving individual learning goals.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

As an ACL Lecturer in Spanish, you will create and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that inspire learners and encourage active participation. You will support individuals with varying levels of experience, adapting your teaching approach to meet different learning needs and helping every learner build confidence and achieve success.

You will be responsible for planning lessons and preparing teaching materials that create meaningful learning experiences. Through regular feedback and guidance, you will monitor learner progress and encourage learners to achieve their personal language goals.

A key aspect of the role is creating a welcoming and inclusive classroom environment where learners feel supported, respected, and motivated to participate. You will promote learner wellbeing, ensure safe learning practices, and uphold the College's standards relating to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.

You will also contribute to the quality and effectiveness of the programme by maintaining accurate records, completing required course documentation, participating in quality assurance activities, and attending departmental meetings when required. Working collaboratively with colleagues, you will help ensure a positive learning experience for all learners while maintaining compliance with College policies and procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
