Salary & Hours £12.71 per hour Hours as and when required – no late nights or split shifts

The Role
We’re looking for a Catering Assistant to join our friendly kitchen team at Chyvarhas Nursing Home. In this role, you’ll help prepare and serve nutritious, well-presented meals—without the long hours or split shifts often found in hospitality—that create a positive dining experience for our residents.
Responsibilities
- Support the catering team with basic food preparation and meal service
- Ensure meals are presented and served to a high standard for all residents
- Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times
- Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen and dining areas
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance residents’ daily experience

Requirements
- A caring, enthusiastic approach, with a genuine interest in supporting older people
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to support colleagues
- Knowledge of safe food handling and cleaning practices
- Previous catering experience and a food hygiene certificate, or a willingness to work towards one
- Clear communication skills and a flexible approach
