About Richmond House Care Home
Our 49 bedded home provides nursing care in Leigh and supports older people, younger physically disabled people and those requiring stroke rehabilitation. Richmond House is a purpose built home with a welcoming, close knit feel, offering a supportive environment for colleagues to develop their skills and provide high quality care across a varied resident group.
Chef Contract
£15.05- £15.65 per hour
Contracted on Bank
Paid [PVG/DBS], pension, uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)
Role Overview
As a Chef, you will deliver high quality, nutritious and enjoyable meals that are a key part of daily life. This is a role where your cooking has real impact, bringing comfort, routine and enjoyment while supporting overall wellbeing.
- You will take ownership of food preparation and service, ensuring meals are tailored to individual dietary needs, preferences and nutritional requirements.
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, hygiene and food safety, you will consistently deliver meals that residents look forward to each day.

What We Are Looking For
- City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 or equivalent, or working towards
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Experience in a professional kitchen environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A positive and reliable approach
