Role Overview
We are looking for a new Bank Clinic Assistant to join our team in Nuneaton. As a bank role, the hours will be variable.
Our Clinic Assistants are the face of Newmedica – in this role you’ll play a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience for every patient who visits our clinic. You’ll support both the clinical and operational teams, carrying out diagnostic testing, managing patient appointments and records, and helping patients understand their treatment journey.
Working as part of a small, supportive team, you’ll help ensure clinics run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care, professionalism and service.
The thought of eye treatment can be a daunting prospect for patients to deal with, so our Clinic Assistants need to be able to put them at ease. They also need strong communication skills to be able to explain the purpose of the different tests to ensure the patient understands their treatment.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
