Bank Healthcare Assistant | Pre-Assessment | Warrington | Private Hospital

Spire Cheshire Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic and experienced Pre-Assessment team working on an ad hoc basis.

You can get fast access to expert healthcare, from consultations and diagnosis to treatment and aftercare.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist the qualified nursing staff, under their supervision, in providing a high quality, comprehensive service to all patients and users, ensuring a high standard of patient care is maintained in a clean and safe environment
  • Correctly undertakes assessment tasks that have been delegated in relation to the specific individual as agreed with the care team.
  • Receive, transmit, store and retrieve information
  • Undertake basic observations of patients’ vital signs
  • Records information related to designated tasks accurately and passes it on to the relevant person in the team on time.
  • Identifies and reports any significant changes that might affect the individual’s health and well being to the appropriate person.

Who we're looking for

  • Previous experience of working as an HCA (or equivalent) in a clinical environment
  • Experience ideally within POA, will consider Hospital experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential
  • NVQ Level 3 is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in the following: ECGs, taking blood/blood pressures and patient observations is essential
