You could be based in one of our community hospitals, supporting care home services, or working as part of a wider community team. As a Bank Healthcare Assistant, you will provide compassionate, person-centred care to patients with a range of health needs, supporting both their clinical care and independence. Working alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals, you'll carry out a variety of duties, including personal care, basic observations, nutrition and hydration support, venepuncture, ECGs, simple wound care, catheter and stoma care, bladder scanning and specimen management.

You will accurately record care provided, contribute to risk assessments and support patients with complex physical health needs, frailty and dementia using a compassionate, trauma-informed approach. Strong communication, teamwork and organisational skills are essential, as you'll play a key role in ensuring patients receive safe, effective and dignified care. Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is due to integrate with Medway Community Healthcare on 1 October 2026. Following integration and to align our community services to the new Neighbourhood Model of care delivery, there will be a period of consultation which may result in changes affecting some services, teams or roles.
