About The Role
UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE
MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR EVERY PATIENT
We’re looking for a compassionate and reliable Imaging Assistant to join our Diagnostic Imaging team on a Bank basis.
This role is offered on a bank (0-hour) contract. There are no guaranteed hours, and shifts will be offered depending on business needs. You can accept or decline shifts based on your availability, making this a flexible option—but it may not be suitable if you are seeking consistent or full-time hours.
This is a great opportunity for someone seeking flexibility while gaining experience in a busy healthcare environment. You’ll support radiographers, sonographers and the wider clinical team to ensure patients receive safe, high-quality care throughout their imaging journey.
Working in a fast-paced department, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment for patients undergoing diagnostic procedures.
What you'll be doing
As Our Imaging Assistant, You Will Be
- Supporting radiographers and sonographers in delivering safe and effective patient care.
- Assisting with patient preparation and providing reassurance before and during imaging procedures.
- Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth and efficient patient pathways.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control within clinical areas and equipment.
- Communicating effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues to support a positive patient experience.
- Supporting both direct and indirect patient care under supervision, escalating concerns when needed.
- Contributing to team discussions and supporting the induction of new colleagues where appropriate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
