Bank Nurse – Derby
Working pattern: Bank / Ad hoc, approximately one patient visit per month
Are you an experienced Registered Nurse looking for a flexible opportunity alongside your existing commitments?
IQVIA is looking for a confident and compassionate Bank Research Nurse in Derby to support a patient living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) who is taking part in a clinical trial.
This is an ideal opportunity for a nurse who enjoys providing high-quality, one-to-one patient care and is comfortable working autonomously. The requirement will be approximately one patient visit per month, making this a great option for someone looking for occasional, flexible nursing work.
Your Responsibilities
During patient visits, you will be responsible for clinical activities including:
- Carrying out urinalysis
- Recording and monitoring vital signs
- Phlebotomy and blood sample collection
- Investigational Product (IP) administration
- Administering infusions
- Providing professional, patient-centred nursing support
- Completing required documentation accurately and in a timely manner

What We’re Looking For
The successful nurse will ideally have:
- A nursing degree or equivalent qualification
- Current NMC registration and PIN
- Ideally paediatric experience
- Strong phlebotomy skills
- Experience administering IV infusions
- Experience with medication or investigational product administration
- Confidence carrying out vital signs and other routine clinical observations
- The ability to work independently and autonomously
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Flexibility to attend a patient visit in the Sheffield area approximately once per month
- Current DBS would be an advantage
