Package Description
As a Bank Nurse, you’ll be working as part of the HCRG Care Group Team. As well as the attractive hourly rates of pay, at HCRG Care Group you will benefit from:
- £19.38 an hour
- Self-booking and access to all bank shifts! Staff are given access to all Bank shifts within their Business Unit and can self-book providing they meet the shift requirements.
- Request a Duty – Staff can make shifts or Day Off requests prior to the creation of a roster up to six weeks in advance. This helps promote a better work life balance and allows for personal commitments to be met

Bring your nursing skills where they can make a real difference
This is a role where you’ll have the opportunity to use the breadth of your nursing skills. You’ll combine hands-on patient care with clinical decision-making, autonomous working and collaboration with a wider healthcare team.
- Take an active role in assessing patients and shaping care around their individual needs.
- Deliver and review high-quality nursing care, working in partnership with patients and those important to them.
- Use your clinical judgement to recognise changing needs and escalate concerns quickly and appropriately.
- Take ownership of your day, prioritising your workload according to patient and clinical need.
- Build trusted relationships with patients and carers through compassionate, respectful communication.
- Work closely with colleagues across the multidisciplinary team to provide well-coordinated care.
- Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical documentation and evidence-based practice.
- Bring your ideas and experience to the team, helping us learn, improve and continually strengthen the care we provide.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this Band 5 Registered Nurse opportunity, you’ll need to meet the following requirements.
Essential
- NMC Registered Nurse (1st Level).
- Nursing qualification at Diploma level or above.
- Evidence of relevant continuing professional development.
- Mentorship/teaching qualification or willingness to obtain this within two years.
- Ability to independently assess patients and plan, implement and evaluate nursing care.
- Ability to recognise and appropriately escalate urgent clinical information or deterioration.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise your own workload without direct supervision.
- Knowledge of current health and social care developments and evidence-based nursing practice.
- Appropriate clinical skills and confidence using relevant community equipment.
- Ability to maintain accurate written and electronic patient records.
- Flexibility to work across a seven-day service.
- Ability to travel across the required locality, with a current driving licence and access to a car during the working day.
