Job Opportunity: Porters at Chesterfield Royal Hospital
DSFS Ltd is seeking to recruit 5 Porters on zero-hour bank contracts to work within the portering department at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Job Duties
- Conducting a wide variety of portering tasks
- Expected to work a shift pattern covering 24 hours a day / 7 days a week including weekends
- General portering duties including patient moves, linen transportation, furniture moves, recycling, and waste collection
- Involves a significant amount of walking and a physical element to all operations
Requirements
- Full training will be given, initially requiring full-time working for a period of 4 weeks covering all 24-hour 7-day shift patterns
- Attendance of regular refresher training courses is mandatory
- Good interpersonal skills for interacting with patients
- Basic computer skills essential for logging all tasks on a central database
- Full driving license required for waste collection (alternative arrangements may be arranged for disabled candidates)
- An enhanced DBS check is required
