Bank Private Patient Sales Advisor | Cardiff Patient Support Centre | Bank
(Zero-Hours Contract)
We are currently recruiting Bank Private Patient Sales Advisors to join our Patient Support Centre based in St Mellons, Cardiff. This role is offered on a zero-hours (bank) contract, with shifts provided on a flexible, ad-hoc basis to support service demand, including cover for busy periods, annual leave, and sickness absence.
Please note that this role does not offer guaranteed or fixed hours and is therefore well suited to individuals seeking flexible work alongside other commitments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage self-pay patient enquiries via telephone, email and online platforms
- Handle enquiries from initial contact through to appointment booking
- Convert warm leads into appointments and sales to meet KPI targets
- Deliver a high standard of customer service in line with private healthcare expectations
- Manage and prioritise your own workload effectively
- Use multiple systems to support enquiry handling and booking processes
- Promote Spire’s Values and Purpose, contributing to a culture of service excellence
- Build positive relationships through clear and effective communication

About You
- Strongly target-driven with a customer-focused approach
- Confident using a range of systems and technology
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively within a hub while supporting a national sales framework
Essential Criteria
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and focused under pressure
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
- High level of attention to detail
- IT literate, with confidence in learning new systems
- Commitment to confidentiality and information governance standards
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in call centre environment
- Experience working within a hospital or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
Working Hours
This is a zero-hours bank position. The Patient Support Centre operates Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 6:00pm, with shifts scheduled within these hours on an as-needed basis.
