Bank Registered Nurse
Location: Western Isles Hospital, Macaulay Road, Stornoway, HS1 2AF
Band: 5 - £34,544 - £43,039 pro rata
Plus: £1,461 Distant Islands Allowance pro rata
Hours: As Required
About the Role
We seek to recruit Registered Nurses to join our BANK nursing teams in our Hospitals and Community in Lewis and Harris. The main location is Western Isles Hospital. These bank posts offer successful candidates the opportunity for continuing professional development in diverse and varied settings in both community and hospital settings. The ability to work independently is desirable but not essential for both areas.
Responsibilities
- The provision of professional nursing care to meet the individual needs of the patient population.
- Accountability for the delivery of such care.
- The assessment of care needs.
- The development, implementation, and evaluation of programs of care.
- Facilitation and support of staff development in the hospital and community areas.

Experience of nursing patients in an acute and/or community environment is essential. Evidence of ongoing professional development is essential.
Requirements
- NMC registered.
- Can be from General Nursing or Mental Health.
