Are you looking for a flexible nursing role working across a variety of outpatient clinics and specialties?
Spire Thames Valley Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Outpatients team on the bank. This is a fantastic opportunity to use and develop your clinical skills, including ECG's, wound care and minor operations dressings, whilst supporting patients throughout their healthcare journey. You'll enjoy the flexibility of bank working whilst remaining part of a friendly, professional team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
About the Role
As a Bank Registered Nurse - Outpatients, you will play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality care across a varied outpatient caseload.
You'll work closely with Consultants and multidisciplinary colleagues, carrying out patient assessments, supporting clinics and procedures, performing ECGs and undertaking wound care, including minor operations dressings. You'll help ensure every patient receives a professional, efficient and positive experience whilst maintaining the high clinical standards expected within our hospital.
This role offers variety, autonomy and regular patient interaction, making it ideal for a nurse who enjoys a fast-paced outpatient environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess patients' health and wellbeing across a varied outpatient caseload.
- Deliver safe, effective and compassionate patient care.
- Support Consultants and nursing colleagues during outpatient clinics and procedures.
- Perform ECGs and support patients undergoing diagnostic investigations.
- Undertake wound care, including post-operative and minor operations dressings.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in a patient's condition.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Contract: Bank
Typical shifts available: Monday to Saturday
Who we're looking for:
- NMC Registered Nurse with no restrictions or conditions on practice
- Essential - Experience undertaking wound care and minor operations dressings
- Previous Outpatients experience is desirable
- Competent in performing ECGs
- Confident supporting and leading outpatient clinics
- Able to recognise and respond appropriately to clinical concerns
- Strong communication and organisational skills with a patient-focused approach
