About the Role
We are seeking individuals to join our bank Radiography team within the Radiology department in Hywel Dda University Health Board. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, skilled practitioner who is adaptable, well-organised and capable of demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
About the Department
The 4 main Radiology departments in Hywel Dda University Health Board have benefited from substantial Welsh government investment over the last three years.
Much of the equipment is brand new with further planned upgrades in the near future.
Opportunities
There are opportunities for bank work in a number of modalities (including CT, MRI, NM, General), this will be dependent on candidate experience.
Responsibilities
As Radiographer you will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging while supporting the day-to-day operational management of the department. The role includes:
- Prioritising and coordinating workloads
- Supervising and mentoring junior staff and students
- Ensuring compliance with radiation safety and governance standards
- Participating in quality improvement activities
- Contributing to service development

You will be able to demonstrate advanced clinical decision-making, provide leadership during shifts, support multidisciplinary working, and may participate in out-of-hours services to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
