Join the Training Team at National Imaging Academy Wales (NIAW)
NIAW is looking for keen Sonographers Trainer to support the delivery of high-quality Radiology and Radiographic training.
Role Overview
The bank worker will work within the multidisciplinary NIAW team to deliver clinical ultrasound training, clinical supervision, undertake competency assessments and/or deliver simulation support at the NIAW. The bank worker will work with the team to support the delivery of the NIAW 3-year strategy.
About NIAW
NIAW is a state-of-the-art facility with a primary function of providing high quality training to the imaging workforce across Wales. The facility includes a 100-seat lecture theatre, two workstation classrooms, three ultrasound suites and ultrasound simulation room, all with dedicated state of the art, audio-visual equipment.
In addition to supporting training for a variety of professions, the Academy hosts corporate and CPD events, supports with the development of training courses for the Radiology workforce and acts as a natural hub for innovation and research within Radiology.
Requirements
- Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
- Qualified and registered Radiographer or Sonographer with postgraduate training in ultrasound, demonstrating expert competence, autonomy, and up-to-date knowledge of ultrasound technology, anatomy, and clinical practice.
- Undertake and interpret a range of ultrasound scans, provide high-quality reports, and offer professional advice to colleagues, trainees, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong commitment to teaching, supervision, research, and continuing professional development is essential.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
- Adherence to professional standards and governance.
- Responsibility for maintaining safe working practices and accurate records.
