Job Description

Cera are recruiting Care Assistants for our Extra Care service in Totnes.

We're currently recruiting for both part-time and full-time permanent positions, with day and night shifts available in Ivybridge, Okehampton, Totnes, and Newton Abbot. This is secure, rewarding work that offers competitive pay, excellent training, and no previous experience required.

Our Extra Care units provide residents with the independence of their own self-contained homes, alongside the reassurance of on-site care and support. As a Care Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping residents live as independently as possible, delivering personalised care tailored to each individual.

No two days are the same. You might be helping someone start their day, preparing a warm meal, supporting with medication, or assisting with personal care. But beyond the practical support, it's the human connection that truly matters - being a friendly face, offering encouragement, and sharing moments of laughter when it's needed most.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
