About the Role

To provide high-quality care and education for children in the nursery, supporting their development in a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment. As a member of the Bank Staff team, you will cover staff absences, holiday leave or increased ratios as required.

Support the daily running of the nursery room in accordance with EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage).

  • Work alongside permanent staff to provide a caring and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5 years.
  • Supervise and interact with children during play, mealtimes and rest periods.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the setting.
  • Assist in setting up activities and tidying away afterwards.
  • Follow nursery safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality policies at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents and staff.
  • Respond appropriately to children’s individual needs and help promote their emotional and physical wellbeing.
  • Ensure the nursery is a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment for all.
