Typical day

  • Assist customers with their daily living tasks developing their independence, achieve their goals aspirations and outcomes documented in their support plans
  • Support vulnerable customers with learning disabilities in a variety of services
  • Support customers with daily tasks like budgeting, cooking and attending appointments
  • Carry out risk assessments, support planning, goal setting and regular reviews
  • Help customers build independence and prepare for their move-on into the community

You have

  • A level 2 or above, or equivalent in social care or being willing to work towards this
  • Passion to support our customers to live their best life, working together with an eye for detail
  • Experience of caring for others, professionally or personally
  • Experience of working on own initiative, remaining calm under pressure and having a resilient approach
  • A flexible, personal approach, listening to customers to understand their needs, recognising that every customer is different

Job details

  • Flexible working hours
  • We pay £50 per sleep in shift
  • Flexible bank opportunities across Northumberland, Morpeth, Gateshead and North Tyneside.
  • Using technology for creating and updating support plans / doing mandatory learning / keeping in touch with colleagues.
  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
