Job Title: Banking Analyst
Location: London – Hybrid Working / Support Office near Oxford Circus (3 days per week in the office)
Salary: 32-35k

We’re on the lookout for a Banking Analyst!
Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and confident working with financial data and banking systems? We’re looking for a Banking Analyst to join our Finance team and play a critical role in ensuring payments are set up accurately, site sales are correctly reported, and card and cash receipts are reconciled to the bank.
Reporting to the Transactional Services Manager, you’ll take ownership of daily banking and reconciliation activities across our multi-site business. You’ll work closely with our restaurant teams, suppliers, operational stakeholders, and external partners to investigate differences, resolve issues, and make sure accurate information is delivered within the required timeframes. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and identifying smarter, more efficient ways of working. What You’ll Be Doing
- Set up CHAPS and Faster Payments accurately and within the required timeframes
- Process refunds and manage treasury deposit requests
- Produce daily bank balance and statement reporting
- Manage and maintain the daily cash flow file
- Monitor and action chargebacks
- Report on and analyse failed payments
- Post daily sales and investigate any differences
- Reconcile card and cash payments across all restaurant sites
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations for bank, treasury, equals, and float accounts
- Report missing sales to Operations Managers and highlight recurring issues
- Liaise with restaurant teams and G4S regarding missing collections, complaints, and other banking queries
- Partner with Zonal, Aurum, and banking providers to resolve sales and card reconciliation issues
- Support year-end audit queries and help ensure a clean audit
- Provide clear, relevant reports to internal stakeholders
- Manage relationships with banking system providers
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and introduce more efficient ways of working

We’re looking for someone who combines strong numerical and systems skills with excellent organisation, communication, and attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organised, with the ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
- Able to prioritise effectively and manage competing objectives
- Confident communicating with suppliers, restaurant teams, and internal stakeholders
- A proactive, focused, and results-driven approach
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
- A continuous-improvement mindset, with the confidence to challenge existing processes
- Adaptable and calm when working under pressure
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build effective working relationships
- Curiosity about technology and how it can create smarter, more efficient ways of working
- Experience using Unit4 Financials, Aurum, and CODA
