Profile Summary
The VP will play a key role within the Banking COO Business Reporting function, supporting the delivery of the division's strategic, governance, business management and financial objectives.
This role plays a critical part in producing management information to support and analyse business performance, KPI tracking, business development and decision making as well as creating a defined reporting flow and implementing change.
Duties And Responsibilities
Management Reporting & Business Insights
- Working directly with Head of Business Reporting and wider team members to prepare and analyse a comprehensive Management Accounting report aligned with the Bank’s business strategy and operational goals.
- Understanding and managing Budgets, Revenue/Asset, Forecast and Expenses, and monitoring overall performance.
- Prepare reporting for senior management, Head Office, regulatory requests and audit inspections.
- Support the COO, Front Office and other key stakeholders through analysis ad-hoc reporting requirements and initiatives to support business.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to streamline manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Partner with IT (in conjunction with line manager) and COO Business Change & Governance to fully automate the fee booking process by providing them with business requirements.
- Liaise with different stakeholders to define their requirements.
- Document business processes and support user acceptance testing for system enhancements.

Data Governance
- Working closely with Finance to ensure compliance rules and internal policies, meeting high standards, accuracy, consistency in a timely manner.
- Maintaining a strong understanding of regulatory/policy changes and ensuring reporting methodology adapts accordingly.
Qualifications, Skills And Experience
- Experience within a COO, Business Management, Strategy, Change Management or related function within financial services.
- Good understanding of corporate and investment banking businesses, products, operating models, regulatory requirements, financial metrics.
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted partner to business teams.
- Experience coordinating complex initiatives and working across multiple business and support functions to deliver strategic objectives.
- Experience supporting business planning, governance, organisational initiatives and change programmes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret data and translate complex issues into clear recommendations.
- Strong financial and management accounting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of high-quality presentations, management papers and executive-level communications.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation.
- Experience in driving reporting automation, process improvements, and the implementation of business intelligence tools.
- High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
- Degree educated or equivalent professional experience.
