We are working with a leading international law firm seeking a 2-3 PQE finance lawyer to join its highly regarded European finance team.

This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a genuinely international practice, advising leading private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, debt funds and financial institutions on complex cross-border transactions.

The team

The European finance team has a particularly strong private equity and leveraged finance practice, advising sponsors from acquisition through to exit and supporting portfolio companies throughout their investment lifecycle.

The work spans the full spectrum of leveraged debt structures, including:

  • Term Loan B and second lien financings
  • High-yield and bond issuances
  • Debt fund and private credit financings
  • Subscription line and NAV facilities
  • Management and fund-level financings

The team also works closely with the firm's private equity and funds practices, meaning lawyers have the opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the transaction and the sponsor's wider investment strategy, rather than operating solely as finance counsel.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
