About the Role

A new interim opportunity has arisen at a global law firm for a Professional Support Lawyer who specialises in Finance. The 12-month fixed term contract role will entail providing support in training and know how across Leveraged, Real Estate and Infrastructure Finance.

Working as part of a Knowledge Team, the successful candidate will conduct legal research, maintain precedents, deliver training and monitor legal developments.

Requirements

Applicants must be EW qualified and have upwards of 5 PQE in Finance from a leading or well recognised banking and finance team. They will have superb communication skills and a real passion for black letter law. PSL or Know-how experience would be a strong advantage, but the firm is very happy to consider fee-earners who are keen to transition to a PSL role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
