Senior Associate – Finance
Location: Edinburgh

Join a top-tier team where your expertise directly contributes to complex, high-impact work. Pinsent Masons is seeking a Finance Lawyer (5+ PQE) to join our highly ranked Edinburgh team. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated financing matters, collaborate with leading practitioners, and grow within a practice known for excellence and innovation.
You’ll be part of a national finance team handling major regional and national banking transactions across real estate finance, leveraged finance, and corporate lending. Working with a wide range of UK and international clients, you’ll gain exposure to complex, high-value finance deals while building meaningful relationships and specialist expertise.
The Opportunity
You will work at the center of some of the most sophisticated financing transactions in the market, supporting regional and national clients on a broad spectrum of deals. This includes real estate finance, leveraged finance, and corporate lending matters for UK clearing banks, European and investment banks, independent funders, and corporate borrowers — from listed companies to fast-growth SMEs.

What You’ll Do
Bring your finance expertise and commercial approach to a team trusted by major financial institutions and corporate borrowers.
Your role will see you:
- Working across a broad range of banking transactions, including real estate finance, leveraged finance, and corporate lending
- Supporting partners and senior lawyers on complex, high-value matters, including UK and cross-border finance deals
- Drafting, negotiating, and advising on finance documentation across a variety of transactions
- Developing strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives
- Collaborating effectively within a high-performing national team and building specialist knowledge within a market-leading practice
- Playing a key role in the continued growth of our Finance team through proactive engagement and excellent client service
About The Team
Our Finance team advises clients across a diverse range of sectors and financing types, acting for:
- UK clearing banks
- European and investment banks
- Independent financiers and funders
- Corporate borrowers, including listed businesses and high-growth SMEs
