Banking & Finance Associate / Senior Associate
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Banking & Finance Associate / Senior Associate to join a leading Manchester practice and play a key role in the continued development of its finance offering across the North. This is a particularly strong opportunity for a lawyer with a background in leveraged finance who is looking for high-quality transactional work.
Responsibilities:
- Advise lenders, borrowers, sponsors and investors on a broad range of leveraged and corporate finance transactions.
- Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents and other finance documentation, including both LMA and bespoke forms.
- Work on sponsor-backed transactions, growth lending, venture debt and wider corporate financing matters.
- Advise on intercreditor arrangements and work closely with corporate and restructuring specialists on complex transactions.
- Take responsibility for matters throughout the transaction lifecycle, as well as advising existing clients on waivers, amendments, refinancings, restatements and bolt-on transactions.

Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with approximately 3–6 years' PQE and relevant Banking & Finance experience.
- Strong experience in leveraged finance, alongside solid cashflow and general banking experience.
- Experience acting for or advising lenders, borrowers, sponsors, investors or financial institutions.
- Confident drafting and negotiating finance documentation and managing transactions through to completion.
- Commercial, proactive and client-focused, with the ambition to contribute to business development and the growth of a regional practice.
