Overview
Pathway Legal is working with a leading top-tier commercial law firm in Belfast City Centre to recruit a Banking & Finance Solicitor with approximately 2–5 years’ PQE.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to join a highly regarded Banking & Finance team and work on a broad range of sophisticated, high-value transactions.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced partners and senior lawyers, advising an impressive client base including financial institutions, lenders, borrowers, corporates and investors.
The role offers high-quality transactional work, excellent client exposure and strong opportunities for continued career development within a leading commercial practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise lenders, borrowers and corporate clients on a broad range of banking and finance matters.
- Draft, review and negotiate facility agreements, security documentation and associated transaction documents.
- Advise on corporate lending, acquisition finance, real estate and development finance and other financing transactions.
- Assist with complex and high-value transactions from initial instruction through to completion.
- Manage conditions precedent and transaction completion processes.
- Liaise directly with clients, other legal advisers and relevant third parties.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across other practice areas, including Corporate, Real Estate and Restructuring.
- Develop strong relationships with existing clients and contribute to the continued growth of the Banking & Finance practice.
- Support junior solicitors and trainees where appropriate.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Qualified solicitor with approximately 2–5 years’ PQE.
- Relevant Banking & Finance experience gained within a commercial law firm.
- Strong transactional experience and a sound understanding of finance documentation.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Commercially focused with the ability to provide practical, solutions-driven advice.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proactive, collaborative and keen to continue developing within a leading Banking & Finance practice.
