An exciting opportunity to join a leading international banking organisation in London!

Job title: Banking & Finance Solicitor – Loans & Credit Documentation

Location: London (fully on-site)

Job type: Permanent, Full-Time

We are looking for a UK-qualified solicitor with previous law-firm experience in Banking & Finance, Financial Services or a related practice, with strong experience in loan documentation and lending transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and negotiate bilateral and syndicated loan documentation, including LMA agreements, guarantees and security documents.
  • Review Conditions Precedent and ensure documentation aligns with approved credit terms.
  • Assess security, enforceability, perfection and legal/structural risks.
  • Work closely with Credit Risk, Front Office and external legal counsel.
  • Support distressed, underperforming and defaulted loans, including workouts and recoveries.
  • Maintain accurate legal and credit documentation.

About You

  • UK-qualified solicitor - essential.
  • Previous recent experience working in a law firm – essential.
  • 5-7 years' relevant experience, ideally post-qualification.
  • Strong Banking & Finance / lending background.
  • Excellent knowledge of LMA documentation and syndicated lending.
  • Understanding of UK corporate law and security perfection.
  • Strong analytical, commercial and stakeholder-management skills.
