What You'll Be Doing
- Plan, organise, and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and yearly tasks of the team
- Supervise and support daily operations of the accounting team (e.g., AP, AR, GL)
- Review and approve day-to-day accounting transactions and activities
- Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings
- Maintain and enforce strong internal controls in line with accounting standard, tax regulations and company policies
- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, statements, and audit schedules
- Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting team performance
- Identify process inefficiencies and implement best practices for improved workflow
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for improved working processes
- Monitor the department’s performance against KPIs and objectives
- Prepare budgets and revenue forecasts
- Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with company goals
The Skills You'll Need To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Progressive experience in accounting, including team leadership. Working experiences in accounting firms preferred.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing practices and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred)
- Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, formulas, data analysis)
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- ACCA/CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
